XL Yoga
The
idea of an XL Yoga class on Sunday came into
existence after experiencing the time limitation in
our regular one hour class. This two hour class
allows us to do extensive breathing and posture work
followed by a deep relaxation.
We start the Sunday morning class with a few minutes
of postures (asanas) to feel and wake up our
bodies. This makes us more receptive to absorb
all the benefits of the breathing exercises.
The breathing exercises involves a cleansing
exercise for lungs and bronchial tubes (kapalbhati
pranayama), a forcible breathing excercice (bhastrika
pranayama) and an alternate breathing excercice (anuloma
viloma) which will bring balance into our sun and
moon energies.
After the breathing follows the practice of
energy locks (bandhas), agnisar and nauli to
strengthen the abdominal muscles which assist in the
elimination of waste products.
The second half of the morning we practice
posture work (asanas) trying to feel the
postures in depth and gradually advancing your
level.
To close the morning we go into deep relaxation
in the form of a psychic sleep (yoga nidra).
XL Yoga class on Sunday aims at creating a deeper
understanding of ourself and to go to the next level
of conciousness. Let it be an interactive and
